Like the earth is shaped by flowing waters, Mac's DJing has formed over years of flowing across conscious dance floors. This groove priestess knows in her bones that music, with all its boldness & ardor, can align us with the pulse of our own transformation. Her DJing is fueled by the knowledge that dance--honest, ugly, wild, & real dance--is the bedrock of spiritual revolution. Mac's sonic journeys are born of her inner travels, wherein she has befriended the dark & seen the face of the original dancer. Her skills have been honed over a decade & a half of teaching & playing around the world in her capacity as a 5Rhythms teacher & ritualist. Her music selection is courageous, playful, & evocative, spanning myriad genres from ambient to psytrance, from ceremony to rager.

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic dance is a free-form dance movement inspired and led by carefully crafted music with the intention of creating a healing journey. The music follows a wave form, starting slow, moving to a peak, and descending into stillness. No dance experience or partner is necessary or needed.
In Ecstatic dance participants gather to dance to music without the need of following the instructions of a leader. In Ecstatic Dance the music is the leader, and participants are free to weave their way through the music.
Ecstatic dance is an environment without observers, judgements, attitudes, conversations, shoes, alcohol, or substances. A space where everyone can feel safe to be spontaneous and move however their body wishes.
The intention of Rhythm Sanctuary is to create a safe and open space for freestyle dance movement, where individuals are encouraged to engage in a somatic journey both internally and with community.
